Richard Seay, Sales Director

Since 2007, Richard Seay has been the Vice President of Real Estate Services at Ernie Els Design. He helped create “Els Residences,” which are four bedroom villas around Ernie Els designed golf courses in various locations, including Dubai and Honolulu.

Richard has been in the luxury real estate industry since 1991. Throughout his career, Richard has worked on Reynolds Plantation in Oconee, Georgia; Hyatt Mountain Lodge in Beaver Creek, Colorado; Lahontan in North Lake Tahoe, California; and the Ocean Club Estates on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Afterwards, Richard became the Director of Sales at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas, where he set sales records for luxury homesites within the state. He also played an integral role in the training and promoting of his team members to Directors of Sales positions. 

IMI then named Richard the National Director of Sales, where he worked directly with the directors of sales at four different locations: Glenwild in Park City, Utah; Pronghorn in Bend, Oregon; Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic and Carlton Woods. In 2003, he became the Vice President of Sales, which required Richard to oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for more than 14 projects in five countries, resulting in over $1.6 billion in sales and closings.

Richard graduated from the University of South Carolina and worked for the Hyatt Hotels in the Hyatt Hotels National Management Program before becoming involved in the resort real estate industry. He is an active member in the ULI, and currently lives in Charleston, South Carolina.
