Good times: G' town firm gains deals

A Georgetown company headed by tow former professional football players has scored two deals.

IF Development has signed contracts with Nike Timing and Alex Sheshunoff Management Services L.P. Nike Timing is a division of Beaverton, Oregon-based Nike Inc. that focuses on watches and workout monitoring devices. Austin-based Alex Sheshunoff Management Services is a banking consulting firm.

IF Development provides web-based marketing, branding and data analysis. It was founded in January 2002 by President Will Furrer and CEO Jeff Novak.

Furrer is a former quarterback who played for five NFL teams, including the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos. Novak is a former offensive lineman who played for teams such as the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. Tony Boselli of the Houston Texans provided funding. Other founders include Richard Copley and Robert Cowes.

Within the past year IF Development has done work for sever real estate communities, including Spanish Oaks at Bee Caves, Marshall Ranch in Lago Vista and Cimarron Hills in Georgetown.

"A lot of times, someone goes out and buys a piece of land. They need and image, brand and story behind it." Furrer says. "We help create all of that and turn it into a Web presence."
